The Advantages of Hydrogen Gas Plant
The numerous applications of hydrogen gas plant are described below:
- Functions as a hydrogenation agent in Sorbitol, Mannitol &
other chemicals' production.
- Plays the role of a reducing agent & protectiveness in the
non-ferrous industry.
- Acts as a hydrogenation agent in the edible oil and margarine
industry.
- The turbo generators in power station requires them as cooling
agent.
- Acts as filling gas for meteorological balloons.
- For welding and cutting, gas is required.
- Acts as synthesis gas for ammonia synthesis in the Chemical
Industry.
- Semiconductors manufacturing process.
-
Manufacturing of high purity metals.
Thus, oxygen generated due to electrolysis process has a wide
variety of application.
Hydrogen Plant based on Ammonia Cracking
A wide array of methods are used for the production of hydrogen &
ammonia cracking process is one such method. A hydrogen plant based on
ammonia cracking is best suitable for conditions where nitrogen does not
function as an impurity, & where hydrogen is used as a reducing
atmosphere & where Ammonia is used as a raw material.
Approximately 850°C temperature is required for the cracking of
ammonia in the presence of nickel catalyst. A mixture of hydrogen and
nitrogen in equal ratios as these constituents are present in ammonia,
which are:
Purposes where product of NH3 cracking in these ratios are
used
- Treatment of heat in varied industries.
- In bulk drag production, it reduces the atmosphere & provides
reduction.
- Used for Bimetal, Metal powder & Sintered products and
Stainless Steel wire annealing.
- Constant galvanizing lines.
- Brazing furnaces.
- For castor & non edible oil's hydrogeneration.
Features of ammonia dissociation (hydrogen generators)
are:
- Cost effective process in terms of power, capital and running
cost.
- Found in capacities ranging from 5 Nm3 to 200 Nm3
/ hr.
- Maintenance free.
- Low running cost.
- Limited start up time required.
- Constant measurement of purity and quantity.
- Good dew points (up to 70°C) is achievable in the
product gas.
