In addition to being a domestically abundant and secure source of energy, the use of natural gas also offers a number of environmental benefits over other sources of energy, thus making Natural Gas Plants more popular for numerous commercial and industrial usage. Natural Gas was primarily used for heating in the past but is now being increasingly used to generate electricity and is starting to be used for transportation. The following is the usage of these two kind of Natural Gas Plants :- LNG Plant Natural gas is becoming one of the most important resources of energy with its share in the world consumption increasing at a fast rate. LNG Gas plants find their application when there is a requirement of transporting natural gas to the markets by pipelines. Transporting the natural gas by pipelines is convenient and economical for onshore purpose. CNG Plant Compressed natural gas (CNG) plants provide a technology that renders an effective way for shorter-distance transport of the gas. The technology is basically aimed at producing offshore reserves, which cannot be produced because of unavailability of pipeline or because the LNG option is very expensive. CNG Plants commonly find application at CNG Fuel Stations, where vehicle come for refueling. These two Gas Plants are popularly used in certain specific conditions like, when there is a requirement of an alternative use for natural gas project that cannot use all of the gas recovered or there exists consciousness towards the environment (since, use of CNG and LNG Plants have been recognized for their environmental benefits as they are considered to be cleaner-burning fuel relative to gasoline, diesel or any other kind of fuels). |
